16 This week the Bumblebees are going on a magic train ride as they explore colours.  Look out for the range of colours as they sort trains and carriages to match before pushing them around their own designed train track.  On reaching the station, children will be able to disembark to discover the camping site where the teddy bear picnics will be taking place.  Will you have tea for two?  Over the week we will be exploring this role play further by making and eating actual picnic food to share...

During the week the colours will be changed for the children to talk about what colours they can see. What colour is the water? Is it blue? In our construction area, we will be exploring the Duplo and Lego to build our towers. As well as making some lovely buildings,...

Food, food, glorious food.  From the interest of our shops outside, this week we are adding to our kitchen by providing real fruit and vegetables for the Bumblebees to explore in their play.      These will be investigated further during our art and craft times with vegetable printing, using utensils to chop and even some food tasting sessions.  Did you know that Beetroot makes a wonderful colour for painting alongside green spinach!  Let’s explore.  The coloured rice has proven so popular...

After our soapy sand where things sank and had to be found, this week we will be exploring and finding hidden objects amongst the coloured rice.  On finding them what will they feel like?  Can you use your words to name them?   Will you be able to use your pots and scoops to hide them again? Our Post boxes have been so popular that the Bumblebees have helped to create their own posting board, with which there will be various shapes and holes at different heights.  Will the objects drop high or...
