Bumblebee’s Learning Experiences W/c 29th August 2016
The Bumblebee’s will be exploring the Summer Seaside this week through small world play looking at land and sea. The children will be able to take the small world people on a boat, ferry, and even a canoe and take them to travel across the sea. Let’s explore the trains more! The Bumblebee’s have enjoyed pushing and pulling the trains so much, that this week we will be having our very own train station. Incorporating mathematics we will place numbers on each unit so we can encourage the children to count out how many trains they can see as well as how many are in each slot. The Bumblebee’s are starting to become more and more independent and have started to feed themselves at lunch times. To encourage this further we will be having our home corner back with a variety of bowls and utensils for the children to make their own food and feed themselves. As well as this we will be helping some of our younger children to get walking by having toys on table tops to pull themselves up and walkers so they can explore the room independently. The Bumblebee’s are still captivated by our emergency vehicles with the older children thinking of their own ideas to fill up the fire truck with other cars and move it around the room and the younger Bumblebee’s exploring the room by finding new ways to move such as rolling, crawling and shuffling whilst pushing the cars around.
