Butterflies Learning Experiences W/c 19th December 2016

Posted on Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Butterflies Learning

It’s our final week of preparation before the Big Day, will Santa and the Reindeers be ready in time?  This week we will be exploring Christmas stories as we introduce small story trays with small world cake decorations to arrange and play as we make up our very own stories.

We will be hanging baubles up on our numbered Christmas trees.  Will you be able to hang the correct number on the right tree?  Could you make a pattern?  Meanwhile, we will be thinking about positional language as we look for Our Christmas Elf.  I wonder what things he will get up to.  There will certainly be stories to tell.  Thinking about humour, this is an ideal time to share our Christmas Cracker jokes.  Let’s see who has the best.

For our art and craft this week we will be making Pixie Doors allow them to come and visit over the Christmas period and thinking about the real reason behind Christmas as we make Christingles.

Outside we will be getting into the Christmas mood by visiting the town to see the pretty decorations, the Reindeer and going on the Robin Hunt at the local Waitrose.

Don’t forget on Friday 23rd it’s our Christmas Party Day.  Have a great Christmas and New Year; we’ll look forward to seeing you on the 3rd January.
