Bumblebee’s Learning Experiences W/c 30th January 2017

Posted on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Bumblebees Learning

We are going to be exploring the story of the Hungry Caterpillar as we discover colours, fruits and numbers.  I wonder what they will taste like?  Will we be able to put all the apples together?  How about the bananas and the strawberries?  Taking this interest a little further we will be getting really small as we discover the world of mini beasts. What will you find finding under the leaf?  What’s that crawling along the log?  Who knows when we’re outside maybe we will be able to hunt for the real thing.

For our younger babies who have enjoyed the mirrors and family photos, we will be using puppets and intonations to share our feelings and emotions with lots of interactive play scenarios and two-way conversations.  This will link in nicely with exploring a range of stories, musical instruments and rattles to shake, hit and bang.

From babies to animals and the pleasure of seeing Bertie the Nursery Dog, the children will be demonstrating their caregiving skills in a different way as they look after their soft toy animals with the aid of baskets, blankets, brushes, baths and leads.  Where will you walk your dog?  Is it time for food yet?  How will we look after them?  Maybe we could visit the pet shop and buy some treats for Bertie?
