Bumblebee’s Learning Experiences W/c  19th December 2016

Posted on Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Bumblebees Learning

Christmas Day is so close that it’s time to make Christmas cookies, Mince Pies and Sausage rolls for the party.  This week the Bumblebees will be extending their role play by having the addition of sparkly play dough to make their experience of cooking more real.

After enjoying the bead frames, this week we will be extending our threading on by using pipe cleaners to thread baubles to hang on the Christmas Tree.  Hopefully, with the interest of play dough, we will be making the salt dough to create our baubles to paint and decorate in readiness for your trees at home.

From the interest of making marks, we will be taking our snow to a new level as we place it on the floor to make footprints and snow angels as well as introducing new mark making tools.  Talking about snow our Winter Wonderland will be changing to create real textures such as cold, ice and cotton wool balls for snow as well as many others.  I wonder what it will feel like.

Outside we will be getting into the Christmas mood by visiting the town to see the pretty decorations, the Reindeer and going on the Robin Hunt at the local Waitrose.

Don’t forget on Friday 23rd it’s our Christmas Party Day.  Have a great Christmas and New Year; we’ll look forward to seeing you on the 3rd January.
