Bumblebee’s Learning Experiences W/c  12th December 2016

Posted on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Bumblebees Learning

Tis the season to be jolly.  Tra, la, la, la, la, la, la, la,  This week the Bumblebees will be introducing, musical bells, tambourines and chimes to our shelves alongside our festive song bags of snowmen, Christmas trees, puddings, stars and much more.  I wonder what Christmas songs the children will choose to sing.  With lots of choices and plenty of song cards, the list will be endless.

From the excitement of the Polar Express, we have decided to stop at the Winter Wonderland which will be featuring animals that like the ice and snow. I wonder what sort of animal enjoy these weather conditions?  Who will you see sliding down the ice?  Swimming in the sea?  Or having snowball fights?  Will you see them in the snow or will they be white too?

Now is the time to write our letters to Father Christmas and this week the older Bumblebees will be experimenting with different mark making tools as they attempt to make marks inside cards for their friends before posting them in our own Post Box in readiness for the Christmas delivery.  Meanwhile in the role play area children will be exploring the joys of Christmas baking through pretend play as they use saucepans, rolling pins, biscuit cutters to create a Christmas feast for their friends.
